  Profile
Born and raised in Jamaica presented many advantages for Marlon Anderson. His musical talent can be described as versatile and highly flavored. It is very difficult not to notice the uniqueness and dominance of the anointing in each performance, taking you back to the Caribbean. With a prophetic word his mother affectionately nicknamed him “Paul.” People in his hometown soon recognized that Paul was truly gifted. At age twelve he made is official singing appearance at the Holy Temple Church in Hanover, Jamaica. As a result of his God-given gift, he won the singing competition at Rusea's High School. In the early nineties, Marlon moved to Brooklyn, NY and found familiar Christian surroundings – young people on fire for the Lord. In 1994, Marlon and a group of Christian friends set forth on their mission, forming a band called “Direct Messengers.” The group brought about a spirit of freshness and spiritual harmony, ministering to thousands of people, which led to the production of their very own recording. The vision of bringing the “home-style” gospel music to Brooklyn was now a reality.

Heeding the call on his life to reach out and spread this distinctive flavor of music, Marlon proceeded to yield to God using his gifts to destroy yokes, break barriers, inspire and motivate others.

Marlon, now affectionately know as “Brother Paul,” was led to go solo, gaining more flexibility and consequently taking his ministry of music to another level. God continues to abundantly bless him as each performance emerges with spiritual energy and clarity. You can feel the rush of the Holy Ghost through your whole being when Marlon takes the stage. You cannot avoid being blessed by his various musical expressions which will either keep you on the edge of your seats or on your feet dancing in the spirit. This clearly anointed music minister expresses to us something we yearn to experience at concerts. He is by no means a performer; he considers himself a humble messenger of God seeking to touch the lives of others in a positive way. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean.

Brother Paul is a gifted recording artist, songwriter, producer, guitarist, pianist and drummer. He has appeared with and produced various albums with Bridget Blucher, Hopeton Lewis, Nokioh Wright and others. Whenever time allows, Marlon gives music lessons to many aspiring musicians. He has to his credit seven solo albums, Through His Mercy, Forward For Jesus, The Lost Sheep, Hymns of Praise, It's Christmas Time, Working For The Master and This Troubled World. His albums contain a mixture of old-time favorites and new inspirational melodies. Marlon was awarded “Best Male Vocalist” for three consecutive years (2001 through 2003) from the Annual Caribbean Gospel Awards held in New York.

Marlon: “I take great pleasure in serving the Lord and doing what he has called me to do. It is my desire to continue working for the Master, to be a blessing to as many people as I can, for as long as I can. My life's theme is: if I can help somebody as I pass along, then living will not be in vain.”
